Thanks to your generous response, Pura Vida is working toward our goal of $40,000. Our Annual Gathering fundraising event raised $31,000 through ticket sales, silent auction and donations. Those funds go to support 436 Pura Vida scholarship students currently in schools in Guatemalan communities.
More than 70 friends, family and guests Gathered in person and online to encourage all to "Pass It On" through Pura Vida's educational programs. We offer our sincere thanks to everyone who donated and volunteered. With your gifts, we can continue and grow our programs to benefit more children and families in Guatemala.
We are grateful. There is still time to help us reach our goal of $40,000.
You can donate by going to DONATE - Pura Vida Ministries.
Alternative Gift Cards

Make a tax-deductible contribution of $15 or more and we will send you a high-quality gift card which you can send to a friend or relative telling them that a donation has been made in their name. Funds received will be applied either to the Christmas Milk Program or our Unsponsored Student Fund depending on the choice you designate.
Gift cards feature artwork by and photos of Pura Vida students in Guatemala. They are printed on 5x7 card stock with a matte finish. The cards make a beautiful gift and a wonderful statement.

Year-End IRA Distributions: Schedule a donation from your IRA
You can use qualified charitable distributions to manage your required minimum distributions from an IRA. According to our partner Fidelity Charitable:
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $100,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions. As a result, donors may avoid being pushed into higher income tax brackets and prevent phaseouts of other tax deductions, though there are some other limitations.
We have been accepting these types of donations for years now, and the process is quick and easy. Please contact our planned giving coordinator for more information.
